    Exploration

Starting in Spain on a ship called the Galleon.
  • Halfway There

We have been on this long journey for over a month. The captain says we should arrive at our first stop soon. Food is scarce and the crew members will do whatever it takes to get enough to eat.
  • Port of Buenos Aires

    Port of Buenos Aires
After nearly two months on the ship with hardly any food we have finally reached our first destionation. It is a port in Argentina called Buenos Aires. This port is very active with many people trading goods. The people here like to trade cowhides and salted meats
  • At sea

The captain says we are just a few days away from our next stop which is in Mexico. The salted meats have made this journey better because there is more food for everyone.
  • Port Veracruz

    Port Veracruz
We have made it to Port Veracruz in Mexico after traveling a month with our new goods from the last port. Port Veracruz is just off the Gulf of Mexico and there are many people who live here. We traded our cattle and rice for gold and silver.
  • Back at Sea

We are back at sea and the captain says we should reach North America in 3 or 4 days. He says we will go to Houston first.
  • Port of Houston

    Port of Houston
After leaving Mexico we continued our journey along the Gulf of Mexico. Now we headed to North America. We arrived at the Port of Houston in Texas on the 1st of November. There we traded our new silver for their products.
  • Long Journey

It has been a long ride so far and shows no signs of getting better. It is right in the thick of winter and very cold on this ship. Captain says we will go to Pennsylvania next.
  • Port Philadelphia

    Port Philadelphia
We traveled the Atlantic Ocean for nearly two months before stopping at the Port of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. This port was very busy and many people were trading and shipping goods away. We recieved bread and traded some of our beans.
  • Port of Boston

    Port of Boston
The Port of Boston was very large in people and size. The people in Boston traded us lumber, rum, and salted fish. This will be our last stop and now we will go home to Spain
  • Back Home

After a very long journey of almost a year total we finally made it back home to spain. Now we will use our new goods to help out our country.
