    States that you are allowed to vote, reguardless of color. Ratified in 1870.

    Federal law was passed in the U.S.. Broke up corporate trusts, or combinations of businesses.
  • Forest Reserve Act

    Forest Reserve Act
    Congress passed the Forest Reserve Act. The act set aside public forests, so there would be lumber in the future.
  • Carey Act

    Carey Act
    Grants one million acres of land to desert like areas. One condition is, they have to reclaim the land and sell it to settlers.
  • 14 Points

    14 Points
    Around 1910, the 14 points were created by Woodrow Wilson. These were created to prevent another WW1 from occuring.
  • 18th Amendment

    18th Amendment
    Prohibits the sale and manufacturing of alcohol in America. Many people agreed with the law at first, but after a while people started to drink illegally. Raised crime rate.
  • 19th Amendment

    19th Amendment
    Women are given the right to vote! Men and other voters must deal with the large increases of new voters.
