Emma Swan almost always wears the same leather jacket, and I think it is an important addition to the story because it is super cute, and even if it may not be that significant in the first episode in farther seasons there is a reason behind why she wears it. Episode 2-Emma and Regina meet, but really dislike each other.
Emma meets her son and goes with him to an enchanted town called Storybrooke. She meets Regina the parent who adopted Henry and they soon strongly dislike each other. -

Emma's child gets poisoned by an apple from the Evil Queen, and now they both are upset over what happened, and may have to work together to change the outcome of the story. -

In this season story tale characters are trapped in a town by and evil curse, and it is up to Henry to save the day along with the help of his mothers because everyone else is deprived from their memories and won't believe a kid. -
Episode 2- Emma meets her true love!
In this episode Emma doesn't know it yet, but she meets a thief who has to help her climb up a bean stock to fight a giant. People can change she will realize later on. -
Episode 17- Flashback of why she adopted Henry.
Regina adopted a son because she tried to make a family stay in her town once she realized how sweet a child would be and welcomes them to the town that she doesn't want anyone to leave. -
