In order to maintain environmental sustainability and safety, planning standards in the passenger transportation sector have changed over time. These rules address a number of topics, including pollution limits, infrastructure growth, noise reduction, and airport expansions. Tech- Smart Motorways
Over the past ten years, smart motorways have been introduced to help with traffic flow and capacity development on new large road construction projects. They are used to automatically modify speed limits and monitor traffic. The travel industry has benefited greatly from smart motorways, which have improved the efficiency of transportation and maintained a steady flow of traffic.

  • Environmental Versions- Protesters, Emissions

    Environmental Versions- Protesters, Emissions
Protesters- Protests have the potential to cause strikes by airline or transport system workers which would essentially disrupt the travel system and might result in flight cancellations or other serious disruptions. This has caused major problems in recent times.
Emissions- Due to the high rise in Air Travel, CO2 emissions have spiked at an al time high in present years. This has led to engines that use less fuel, the use of SAF fuels and the implementation of stricter emission regulations.

PT 2 Environemntal Versions- Noise Pollution, Bigger Airports
Noise Pollution- Over the past 60 years, noise pollution has majorly indreased. The major contributor to this is busier cities and airports. People who live nearer the airports such as Heathrow and Manchester will experience the noise pollution more than others.
Bigger Airports- This has impacted the travel industry on a whole other level. Bigger airports have improved the productivity and connectivity of the aviation industry which brings in more money and passenger capacity.
