    A daughter, wife, and mother who is disdained by her husband, Russell, out of fear that his loving housewife's growing independence will soon put her out of his reach. Miserable Regina couldn't find an outlet nor a support system, not even from her mother who sides with Russell and is much of a headache, to help her through such a journey. Regina soon divorced Russell, leaving her and her now teenage kids, her daughter Michele and her son Darren, to live a new life.

    Regina meet her current best friends, Antoinette and Victoria, at Columbia University. Victoria is a successful, African American woman who graduated at the top of her class. While her childhood insecurities still haunts her, marrying the opposite race was one of her biggest accomplishments. Antoinette is a successful social worker, whose career field was influenced by her lower-classed family. By leaving her family in means to succeed, she struggles to manage her own family issues.

Although Regina was at the head investigator at her firm and won many national titles for her articles she knew she no longer had the heart nor the mental capacity to carry out the job. She quit her job.

After not seeing Russell for about three years, Regina was surprised to see him at her apartment doorstep. In uproar about financial stability, he threaten to take away his kids if she didn't find a new job soon.

Regina knew this would distance their friendship since they never told each other what was on the others mind, and it did.

"You could of at least called," as she should always say. Although Russell enjoyed spending time with his kids, he really enjoyed being in the same environment as Regina. Deep down he began to miss his ex-wife. He had come to the realization of what an awful husband he was to her and he'd do anything to have a second chance at it.

    During the last few weeks of construction at Regina's Place, an local artist (Parker), who's looking for a store to showcase his art, startled upon Regina's Place. The conversation between the two was strictly business but the underlying connection between the two was a bit obvious. Agreeing to let Parker showcase his work, he offered his help around the store until she could acquired the help she needed.

    Russell was on his way to do another one of his pop ups on the kids, but this time around he had a game plan. He decided to go early in the morning so that he and Regina could talk. To her surprise, Russell was cooking breakfast (something that he did in the good stages of their marriage) in her kitchen. Cutting right to the chase, Russell began confessing all of his wrong doings and his love for Regina. Pleading for a second chance at her love, it was too late. Regina had moved on.

    Millicent, along with the help of her hair stylist (Ellen) and Russell, finally came to the realization that her precious daughter has grown and evolved into a beautiful, independent adult. That as the mother of her child, who had not been there for her daughter in her time of need, was the one person who she needed to most.

    The grand opening of Regina's Place put everything in perspective. Regina reconciled with her mother and her friends, she and Russell were no longer at each other's necks, the kids had their dad back into the picture, Regina had a new source of income and Regina and Parker had begun a new relationship together. It was truly the picture perfect ending.
