    Both Great Britain and the United States celebrate the victory over the Nazi war. This war went on for 6 years.

    The U.S wanted to end the war against Japan in the fast way possible, which caused the dropping of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima. A second one was dropped in Japan which in total killed over 120,000 people. This caused Japan to surrender.

    Russians wanted Berlin to themselves, because of this they decided to close all highways and railroads making it hard for the people to go out for food and goods. They believed this action would have caused the U.S, Britain, and France to leave. The U.S decided to transport food and goods by air and this was done for more than a year.
