    After Turkish Muslims seized control of Jersualem they denied Christians access to Jerusalem. Which in turn sparked an Invasion by European Christians. The first crusade resulted in a European victory, however, it was a game of back in forth between Muslims and Christians, with many more crusades to be fought for the "Holy land."
