    Queen Elizabeth's merchants learn about Shi'a and Sunni Beliefs

    Queen Elizabeth sent merchants to the Persian Shah Tahmasp's court where they learned the beliefs unique to Shi'a Muslims and Sunni Muslims. They brought back a young Muslim girl to be a servant to Queen Elizabeth who is known to be Elizabeth's "dear and beloved"
