    Italian Renaissance
    The Itlian Renaissance was the the rebirth of live after the fall of the Roman Empire,Toward the end of the 14th century AD, a bunch of Italian thinkers declared that they were living in a new age. The barbarous, unenlightened, and odd “Middle Ages” are over, they said; the new age would be a rebirth of learning and literature, art and culture. This was the birth of the period now known as the Renaissance. This time period thrive in people who suceed in many things; these are Renaissance Men.

    Lorenzo de' Medici

    Lorenzo de' Medici
    Lorenzo de' Medici was Florentine statesman, ruler and patron of arts and letters, the most brilliant of the Medici. Lorenzo de’ Medici ruled Florence with his brother Giuliano from 1469 to 1478. He lived during the Italian Renaissance. He liked to write poetry and was also a patron of poets. He stimulated the revival and splendor of Italian literature. Lorenzo de Medici was extremely interested in the arts. He even had Michelangelo paint for him.

    Witch Hunts

    Witch Hunts
    Around the 1400s people erupted with alligations of witchcraft in Eroupe which led to the Witch Hunts. Single or Widowed women were romuored to be servants for the devil. Often it was young children who would act as if they were being possessed by the women. They were most often hung or burned in front of their accusers and the towns people for thier crimes. They were often innocent.

    Leonardo da Vinci
    Leonardo da Vinci was concerned with the laws of science and nature, He also had his work as a painter, sculptor, inventor and draftsman. His ideas and body of work which includes "The Last Supper," and "Mona Lisa". He had influenced countless artists and made da Vinci a leading light of the Italian Renaissance. Like I said before he had a love of science that led him to draw up the flying machine and the amoured car. he in my eyes was a true Renaissance man.

    Michelangelo
    Michelangelo was a sculptor, painter and architect widely considered to be one of the greatest artists of the Italian Renaissance period. With his talent , Michelangelo received commissions from some of the most wealthy and powerful men of his day. Even the Catholic Church wanted his art. Which most of his famous art came from including The Sistine Chapel. He also made the statues of David.

    King Henry VIII
    On June 24, 1509, the coronation of Henry VIII was completed. But as his reign progressed, he grew desperate for a son who’d carry on the Tudor dynasty. Henry was a king who hadn’t been expected to rule, but he ended up embarking upon a religious reformation, cracking down on dissent and marrying a grand total of six wives. It was basically 1. divorced 2. beheaded 3. died 4. divorced 5. beheaded 6. survived. He had two daugters and one son. Mary, Elizabeth, and Edward Tudor.

    95 Thesis
    Martin Luther went on to become one of Western history’s most significant figures. Luther spent his early years in relative anonymity as a monk and scholar. But in 1517 Luther penned a document attacking the Catholic Church’s corrupt practice of selling indulgences to be a sin. His 95 Theses propounded two central beliefs that the Bible is the central religious authority and that humans may reach salvation only by their faith and not by their deeds was to spark the Protestant Reformation.

    The Protestant Reformation was the 16th-century religious, political, intellectual and cultural upheaval that splintered Catholic Europe, setting in place the structures and beliefs that would define the continent in the modern era. In northern and central Europe, reformers like Martin Luther, John Calvin and Henry VIII challenged papal authority and questioned the Catholic Church’s ability to define Christian practice.

    The Prince is a 16th-century political treatise by the Italian diplomat and political theorist Niccolò Machiavelli. From correspondence a version appears to have been distributed in 1513, using a Latin title, De Principatibus. However, the printed version was not published until 1532, five years after Machiavelli's death. This was done with the permission of the Medici pope Clement VII,
  • William Shakespere and The Globe Theatre

    William Shakespere and The Globe Theatre
    The Globe Theatre in London has been linked with Shakespeare through 400 years and three buildings. The Globe Theatre was built between 1597 and 1599 in Southwark on the south bank of London’s River Thames. It was funded by Richard Burbage and built by carpenter Peter Smith and his workers.The Globe was built as a large, round, open air theatre. There was a roof around the circumference which covered the seating area, leaving the theatre looking like a doughnut from above.
