in 1956 he was traded to the new yor giants. so he decided to retire from a great run at the mlb. -
hall of fame bound
in 1962 jackie robinson joined the baseball hall of fame. he was selected to join because of his great cooperation with all the leauges and he also broke the baseball barrier. jackie robinson was great around all sports and he was awarded the mvp and rookie of the year. if anyone needed a idol to look up to jackie robinson would be that guy. -
the death of the great ledgend
in 1972 jack roosevelt robinson died of a heart attack in stamford, connecticut. when he die dhe had bad heart problems and diabetes.
