Born in 1751 in Port Conway, Virginia by his two parents James Madison Sr. and Nellie Conway Madison.He later moved to a plantation own by his grandfather in Montpelier, in Orange County.His grandfather owned thousand of acre of land and owned hundreds of slave.He was the eldest of his 7 sibling and survivor out of 12.When he was growing up he despise slavery and vowed to hmself when he ges older that he would stop slavery. -
