    The MayFlower Compact was a compacct signed by 41 english colonist that agreed to a set of rules that should be followed in the New World. This was where the basis of the entire constitution started with people making their own rules by whatever they think is right

    Baron de Montesquie was a philosiphe in the Enlightenment who wrote a book based on it. His ideas including the seperations of power which we had as one of our ideals for a more perfect country.

    After a long war the british needed money and the easiest way seemed to come from the American colonies so they made unjust laws taxing the colonist for stamps,finished products, or letting British soilders stay in their homes. This aggravated the colonist pushing them to declare independence.

    During a trifle with the colonist and the "red coats" , the red coats opened fire on the colonist killing 5 and injuring 6. This sent shock waves through the states and agravating them to start planning a revolution and the making of the Declaration.
