Jennie's Life Lessons

  • Trusting Others

    Trusting Others
I have learned at a young age to trust my parents and as I grew older, I also learned to trust those around me. Sometimes this life lesson can be abused, which causes people to not trust others, but I know it is vital in many situations as I venture off into college.
  • Respect for the Elderly

    Respect for the Elderly
Our elders have more knowledge and wisdom than any one of us. Their experiences through the storms that life brings, gives them great wisdom. My grandpa was in World War II and everytime I see him, he tellls his old war stories. I enjoy those moments with him the most because it always makes me appreciate his dedication for our country through everything he has done. No matter what you do in life, who you become, where you live, who you are with, our elders will always love us unconditionally.
  • Sharing is Caring

    Sharing is Caring
Learning to share was not easy for me at first because I can be stubborn at times, but just like anything else, I managed to learn how. It is fundamental to the development of all human relationships and ensures the strongest, healthiest, and happiest foundation that makes human life and society possible.
  • Compassion Towards Animals

    Compassion Towards Animals
Our relationships with animals range all over the place. They’re complicated, frustrating, awkward, and challenging, but most of all loving. If you have a pet, you know how imortatnt they are to you. They are essentially your children in a way. I am extremely passionate towards animals and I believe that all living things deserve love and respect just like humans.
  • Take Risks

    Take Risks
Life has many challenges and I have had plenty of oppprtunities to get out of my comfort zone. We learn from risks and those lessons may lead us down an important, new path where they can help us get over the fear of failure. You don't reach your dreams by taking it easy... Ever.
  • Teamwork

    Teamwork
I've played many sports over the years and the first thing I learned was teamwork. Just as it's one thing to join a team, it's quite another to perform as a team member. Teamwork is the glue that keeps a team together, and a bond which promotes strength, unity, reliability and support. It enables a smoother movement towards goals and can help teams to overcome difficult obstacles.
  • The Secret to Happiness is the Acceptance of Yourself

The Secret to Happiness is the Acceptance of Yourself
Most people do not figure this life lesson out until later in life. I have recently been through an event where I finally accepted myself for who I am. Everyone will eventually have this experience and it will change your whole mindset about yourself and life in general.
  • Hardwork and Dedication

    Hardwork and Dedication
I have always been taught to put forth the most effort possible and with that comes hardwork and dedication. It has been a goal of mine to play Division 1 softball since 8th grade and I am proud to say that I have reached that goal. Hardwork and dedication really do pay off in the end in most situations.
