    Knights of Shire - Voted representative to listen to King and Nobles and report to his commons.
  • The Great Reform - 1832

    Males owned above 17 shillings. (30% of males)
  • Reform Act - 1866/67

    Gave the vote to skilled English men, extending it to those who rented property.
  • Ballot Act - 1872

    Introduced the secret ballot so people didn't have to show who they voted for.
  • 'Representation of the People' Act - 1918

    All men over 21 and women over 30 who owned property were eligible to vote
  • Representation of the People Act - 1928

    Women officially get the same rights as men.
