  • Treaty of Versailles Signed

  • Nazi Party was formed

    Hitler took charge of party propaganda in early 1920, and also recruited young men he had known in the Army. He was aided in his recruiting efforts by Army Captain Ernst Röhm.
    I think that this historical event is significant because Hitler was a horrible ruler. He formed this group to kill a bunch of Jewish people. The Jews did not do anything to Hitler but he wanted them all killed. He killed so many people that this historical event will never be forgotten.

  • The Washington Conference

    The Washington Conference was a military conference called by U.S. President Warren G. It regarded interests in the Pacific Ocean and East Asia. Soviet Russia was not invited to the conference. It was the first international conference held in the United States and the first arms control conference in history.
    I think this is significant in history because it was the first conference held in the US.

    The Great Depression was an economic slump in North America, Europe, and other industrialized areas of the world that began in 1929 and lasted until about 1939,
    I think this was historically significant because a lot of places went into debt and got hurt.
  • Salt March

    The Salt March was an act of civil disobedience led by Mohandas Gandhi to protest British rule in India. The march resulted in the arrest of nearly 60,000 people, including Gandhi himself. India finally was granted its independence in 1947.
    I think this is significantly imporant in history because people made a stand in what they believed in and even though there were conciquences, the indians got their freedom
  • Enabling Act is passed (Hitler becomes dictator)

    The Enabling Act was a 1933 Weimar Constitution amendment that gave the German Cabinet in effect, Chancellor Adolf Hitler the power to enact laws without the involvement of the Reichstag.
    I think this is important in history because Hitler ruined everything.

    I think that this is important in history because it was for political prepression.
