The significance of this was that May the 10th was the most dramatic day in British history. This was because Churchill became PM and that Germany ended the Phoney war by invading low countries.

The significance of this event was that Rommel’s Afrika Korps came back to the defensive side of this battle. This was after the Allies bought them into a standstill in Egypt.

The outcome of this event was that it was one of the bloodiest battles in history, with over 2 million military and civilian casualties. The Soviet Union succeed in stopping German advancing into the Soviet land. This was also a huge turning point in favour of the Allies.

The significance of this event was that English-speaking German commandos infiltrated American lines, and using captured U.S uniforms, trucks, and jeeps, impersonated U.S military and sabotaged communications.

    Mussolini was found trying to go into Austria with his mistress disguised in a Luftwaffe coat and helmet with German soldiers. When found by Italian partisans they were shot and taken back to Milan and hung upside down publicly. The nations involved were Italy, Germany, Britain and America. The outcome of this event was that Mussolini died after trying to flee to Switzerland. Reason being was he didn’t want to fall to the British or Americans.
  • Hitler commits suicide

    The location of Hitler committing suicide was in his underground bunker in Germany. The nations involved were Germany and Russia. The significance of this event was that he took a cyanide capsule with his new wife Ava and then shot himself inside of the bunker. Nobody saw him pull the trigger, no photos or videos were taken and his body was not recovered. Some historians believe he didn’t commit suicide. Instead he took a U-boat and fled to Argentina.

The outcome of this event was that Russian General Ivan Susloparov didn’t have expect permission from the Soviet Premier Stalin to sign the surrender papers, even as a witness. This resulted in him being taken by the Soviet secret police and never heard from again.

Since war with Germany ended which the bomb was originally made for, America turned to Japan since their war was still raging. Americans dropped a five-ton bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Killing 80,000 immediately.

    The location of the Soviet Union declaring war on Japan was in Soviet Union and then into Manchuria. The nations involved were Japan and the Soviet Union. The outcome of this event was that 1 million Soviet Union soldiers poured into Japanese-occupied Manchuria (north-eastern China).
  • Atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki

The explosion unleashed on Nagasaki had the equivalent force of 22,000 tons of TNT. The outcome of the atomic bomb being dropped (nicknamed ‘Fat man’) caused many deaths. The death toll was estimated to be between 60,000 to 80,000 but the exact number will never be known as the blast caused obliterated bodies and disintegrated records.

Later on (April 25, 1945) a conference in San Francisco with President Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Churchill, and Soviet Premier Stalin leading it with representatives of 50 different nations attending.
