    Angkor Wat Is Abandoned

There is no exact answer why Angkor Wat was abandoned but many believe it had to do with the environment. As the new religion came into place people started to forget about the water control, so the Empire weakened and once Angkor was invaded people gave up and were unable to rebuild the Empire again. This resulted in the abandoning of Angkor as no one thought they could rebuild the water systems or fix what the Empire had done.
