the kite tournament
kite fightingThe kite tournament begins and Amir wants to impress Baba by winning so Amir tries his hardest and ends up winning. the money and the departure
It hurts Amir to look at Hassan because it brings him shame and horrible thoughts so he decides the only way to get rid of those feelings he has to make Hassan leave , therefor Amir puts money underneath Hassans mattress and tells Baba about it but Baba forgives Hassan . Ali knows Hassan didn't do it and decides to leave with Hassan and never comeback leaving Baba in tears. -
onward to America
The russians are invading so Baba and Amir decide to leave for America before things got worse. They escape with a driver named Karim who could get them past russian patrols. Later on the engine has blown and they have to get inside a fuel truck and they were off to freedom. -
cancer and hand in marraige
Baba contracts lung cancer and decides not to take treatment for it , knowing Baba will not have long Amir asked Baba if he could give him the permission needed to marry soraya and soon Soraya and Amir are married but a month later at midnight Baba died. -
a phone call from an old friend
Amir gets an unexpected call from his old friend Rahim who is horribly sick and tells Amir there is a way to be good again that is when Amir could tell that Rahim knows what had happend to Hassan and how he had kept it a secret all this time. Amir heads off to Pakistan to know how he could be good again. -
the arrival
A week later Amir arrives at Rahims place where Rahim tells him everything that has happen. How Hassan got married and how they were both executed but aswell that he has a son named Sohrab.
Rahim also tells Amir how Hassan and him are half brothers. Rahim wants Amir to locate and bring Sohrab to this orphanage he told him about although hesitant at first Amir know he must do this and sets off with a man named Farid to find Sohrab. -
Redemption
After long searhces they finally find out where Sohrab is but they must talk to a Taliban general who Amir soon finds out is Assef.
Assef tells Amir that he will give him Sohrab if he can beat him at a fight , Amir having no fighting experience is being pummeld by Assef until Sohrab shoots a metal ball into Assefs eye , Amir and the others escape. Amir is later told there is no orphanage for Sohrab that Rahim's intentions were to take Sohrab to America where he will be safe.
