My daughter was an early reader too. I don't think I had to teach her how to read. One day she was reading. She reads all the time. She even gets in trouble for reading in school too much. There's one story we talk about all the time because she has a bad habit of asking for things everywhere we go." Berenstain Bears: Get the Gimmies". In this story the kids learn to not ask for so many things.
