    Jefferson made Lewis an offer to explore the lands west of Mississippi. He wanted to know plants, people, and animals

    Lewis and Clark started their journey near St.Louis,Missouri

    Jefferson (Lewis and Clark boss) send a team to Louisiana to explore

    They was going to travel nearly 8,000 miles over three years to each the pacific ocean

    They reach the ocean in November and built Fort Clatsop. They spent the winter in Oregon.

  • On The Way Home

    Lewis and Clark spilt to explore more land and a faster way to get home.

  • Returning Home

    Towns held events as they passed through and when they reach the capital they got 1,600 acres of land and salary and the governor Louisiana Territory.
