Here are three events that happened in chapter 1. The plane crashed, They found a conch shell, and jack ralph and simon explore the island. -
Chapter 2
Signaling techniques
They decide that the conch shell will determine who speaks.
Build a large fire to hopefully signal any passing boats.
One of the littlest boys went missing. -
Chapter 3
How to build a shelter in the forest
Ralph and Simon begin to build huts.
Jack and Ralph continue to bicker and grow increasingly hostile toward each other.
Simon wanders through the forest alone and finds a thick jungle glade/beutiful open space. -
Chapter 4
How to kill a wild pig
The littleuns are scared at night and keep talking about the "beastie".
Roger throws stones at the younger boys but he avoids actually hitting them.
They failed to maintain the signal fire so t went out. -
Chapter 5
How to be a good leader
One of the kids says that he thinks the beast comes from the sea.
Jack and a group of boys decide to go after the beast.
Ralph is afraid that if he blows the conch no one will show up. -
Chapter 6
how to identify a shadow
There is a plane battle above them.
A parachutest falls from the sky dead and is a tangles in a tree leaving a shadow on the ground.
They find a hill with small caves. -
Chapter 7
how to reenact a boar hunt
Ralph went hunting with the boys for the first time.
They reenact the chase/hunt of the boar, Robert plays the boar.
They thank they see the beast but it is actually the dead parachutist. -
Chapter 8
how to build a signal fire on a beach
Jack says Ralph shouldn't be in power but the other boys refused to vote against Ralph so Jack stormed off.
Piggy suggests building the signal fire on the beach.
The leave a boars head on a stake for the beast. The head speaks to Simon in the "lord of the flies voice" -
Chapter 9
how to have a feast
Piggy and Ralph go to the feast
All the boys get caught up in the feast and. Hanging then they attack Simon thinking he is the beast.
Simon and the parachutist drift away in the ocean when a storm hits the island. -
Chapter 10
how to steal someone's glasses while they sleep
Everyone but SamnEric and a few littleuns have left Ralph and joined Jacks tribe
Jacks tribe is at castle rock where Jack is in charge and beats boys for no reason
Jacks tribe attacks Ralphs at night and steals Piggy's glasses -
Chapter 11
how to escape people trying to kill you
Jack orders his hunters to capture SamnEric and to tie them up
Roger rolls a massive rock down the hill which then hits Piggy, killing him and shattering the conch
Jack throws a spear at Ralph but misses and Ralph escapes into the jungle -
Chapter 12
how to get rescued from a deserted island
Ralph comes across the boar with its head on a stake and he becomes angry and chucks the head, now using the spear as a weapon against Jack
The boys smoke Ralph out of his hiding place he then runs to the beach
When Ralph gets to the beach there is a Naval officer there to rescue the boys
