Ralph and Piggy find the conch shell- Page 15
Piggy and Ralph finds a conch shell in the sea, and decides to use it to call others in the island for a meeting. They blow it from one end to make a low harsh noise. -
The blue marked boy is gone- Page 46
Piggy gets mad at the fact that they were acting childish and they didn't know what they were doing at that moment when they were lighting up the woods. In fact they didn't know a boy was missing and one of the group members said they saw him near the fire. He was long gone. -
Ralph becomes cheif- Page 22
When they called for a meeting, they all were about the same age. The kids thought that they needed a leader. So they all had a vote and voted Ralph to become the new chief and not Jack. -
A sign of savagery from Jack- Page 31
After Ralph, Simon, and Jack finished searching the whole place decideing if its a island or not, they needed food. When they were walking back to the beach they found a pig stuck in the creepers, so Jack tried to kill it but hesitated, but instead Jack said he would kill it next time. -
When the kids went wild- Page 38
They had two goals that Ralph had announced, and they were to have fun, but get rescued. The only way to get rescued they needed to make fire. When Ralph had announced that all the kids went out of control and went up the mountain to make the fire. -
They use Piggy's specs- Page 40
The kids didn't have know how to start the fire, so some of them came up with ideas to rub sticks and so. Then Jack pointed it out that they could use Piggy's specs to start the fire.
