Then, at the end of "Return of The King", Bilbo is like 117 and is heading out with Gandalf, Frodo, Elrond, and Galadriel. On the last ship to leave Middle Earth. -

In which three titles are published: The Fellowship of The Ring, The Two Towers, and Return Of The King. And eventually, the ring is destroyed in the most epic fashion, EVER! It ends on a sad/happy thought and the books carry what happened next up until Aragorn's death when Legolas and Gimli on the Grey Ship, with Aragorn's body, as they sail past the river. -

It begins, With the Backstory in every book, and eventually the books are remade so as not to be outdated. NEVER OUTDATED!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, got carried away. It had some things cut out but still is an all-time classic. -

One of the best movie franchises in history. Unlike most movie franchises, The Lord Of The Rings stays faithful to the book in many ways while taking some liberties. -

The Lord Of The Rings extended cut is released on video
The movies get 2 hours longer with so much cut footage. (And Thats just one part.) 4 HOURS a part. With footage like how the fight of Cirith Ungol continued and the rise of Grong, a terrible battering ram to destroy the Minas Tirith gate, and more. For a ton of this is cut out. -

The adventures of Bilbo Baggins and company is finally made into a film. After 57 years its on the big screen. Kind of gives the fans of The Hobbit a chance to see it on the big screen. With, again, a sad/happy end to it, it still captivated audiences everywhere. Bilbo, accompanies a wizard Gandalf and a band of dwarves: Kili, Fili, Oin, Gloin, Balin, Dwalin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Ori, Nori, Gori, and Thorin. -
