Amy Carlson, the founder of the love has won cult was a person very interested in new age philosophy. She later became a constant poster on a forum of a website. On that website she met a lady named Amerith WhiteEagle. Amerith convinced Amy that she was divine which led to Amy start to claim to experience multiple phenomena. -
Official Establishment
The love has won cult initially presented itself as a cult that was a spiritual community focused on love and ascension. The leader, Amy, called her self Mother God and claimed to be a divine being and people joined the cult in hopes of being spiritual fulfilled. -
Collaboration with other Cults
In 2007 Amy left her job, family, and duties behind to move to Colorado to join up with the cult WhiteEagle. The cult was then known as the Galactic Federation of Light. -

Ideals
The theology of Love Has Won has been described as fluid, combining New Age spirituality, conspiracy theories, and elements from mainstream Abrahamic religions. The group proclaimed that Carlson was a divine, 19 billion-year-old being who had birthed all creation. Carlson claimed she had been reincarnated 534 times, including as Jesus, Joan of Arc, Marilyn Monroe, and Cleopatra, and would lead 144,000 people into a mystical "5th dimension" -
Split
WhiteEagle split ties with Amy. Even though Amy was alone she later gained her first follower in Miguel Lamboy. Miguel dealty with finances and logistics and the group began to grow -
Travels
The group traveled to various states spreading the ideals of their cult and trying to bring on new members. Also in 2018 Jason Castillo was given the title of Father God in the cult -
Downfall
Amy became very ill. It was said that she was paralyzed from the waist down and rumors said that she had cancer -
Hawaii Incident
In a trip to Hawaii Amy publicly proclaimed that she was the Hawaiian goddess Pele. A multi-day protest ensued, with protestors lighting driftwood fires and chanting Hawaiian prayers around the rented property the group was staying in. Video footage provided by Love Has Won member Lauryn Suarez showed eggs and rocks being thrown at the house, as well as the broken windows of the house and the SUV parked in the driveway. -
Amy's Last Days
On April 10th the group was located in an RV park and was asked to move. The last person to see Amy alive was someone that wasn't with the group and probably one of the people to ask the group to leave. -
Amy's Death
On April 28, 2021, their mummified corpse of Carlson was discovered in the mission house near Crestone. Its state of decay suggested that she had been dead for several weeks. She was 45 at the time of her death. The body was found in a sleeping bag wrapped in Christmas lights, the face covered in glitter and the eyes missing, in what authorities stated were a makeshift shrine.
