    The Dred Scott decision was a debate in court between Dred Scott vs. Sandford. With the help of a lawyer, this african slave was denied basic rights of a U.S. Citizen and denied the oppurtunity to sue. After this, congress passed the Dred Scott Decision stating african americans are denied basic U.S. rights and the constitution does not apply to them.

    The formation of the Confederate States of America consisted of; South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas. They decided to succeed from the nation after president Abraham Lincoln's election. They did not agree with the Union and their ways of changing their mundane lives.
