    French & Indian War
    France and England claimed some of the same land along the east coast. They fought each other for the land. Some colonists and Native Americans sided with France, others sided with England. This war determined which of the two powers would have more control in the Americas. England won the war, and as a result, claimed everything from the east coast to the Mississippi River.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    This was the first step in the Revolutionary War. The Americans were tired of being taxed without a say in their government. Because the latest tax was on tea, they refused to drink tea. One night, disguised as Native Americans, some colonists boarded a ship and threw all of the crates of tea off in protest of the tax. The war had started.

    This is the very first actual battle fought in the Revolutionary War. Paul Revere's famous ride was made to warn those in Lexington and Concord that the British were coming.

    This Convention was held from the 25th of May to the 17 of September 1787. In this convention, the leaders of the newly formed nation met to decide how America was going to be governed. As you might guess, they wrote the Constitution of the United States of America.
