NASA attempts to launch a rocket named Columbia explodes before it can go into space. They were seven astronauts that were aboard the rocket and all of them died. The rocket was launched in Houston Texas and failed. This was one of NASA most disappointing launches. -

The invention of YouTube is created allowing people to watch videos on their portable devices if they have internet. It also allows people to upload videos for other peoples enjoyment. This helped people be able to watch all the other things that people made videos about such as gaming and vloging. -

Twitter is launched which allows people to communicate though online discussion. It also allows people to follow people and keep up with what they post. That may include updates or pictures. Twitter was more fun and better than sending out emails. -

Apple announces that they will release a new series of smart phones call IPhones. The IPhone was faster than any other flip or slide phone. It allowed touchscreen as well as you were able to download "apps" that included things such as games and other helpful things. -
Medicine
On this day Scientist discovery a way to further and better understand illnesses. It was a small enough pill for people to swallow that would allow Doctors to look inside of the patients body. This could help scientist actually see themselves what was going on with the patient. -

Oxford Students are able to build a car that is able to drive itself. This is a major Engineering breakthrough that would allow people to be more safe when on the road. This also allowed people to travel faster without a problem. This would be very useful in the future. -
