    Newspaper Some of the earliest known newspapers were printed in German, and spread throughout Europe rapidly. First English newspaper circulated in 1821. However, Amsterdam had already been printing in English by this time.

    History of Radio The earliest foundation of radio can be found in 1893 in St. Louis, MO by Nikolai Tesla. However, it did not get popular until the First World War by troops and generals. By the end of the War, radio broadcasts started becoming popular in Europe and America.

    History of Television First successful electronic televison was in San Fransisco, CA in 1927. Without the invention of radio waves, and the radio itself, the television would have never been invented. By 1949, commercial television and well-known shows started appearing.

    "War of the Worlds" radio hysteria Beginning at 8pm, Welles began the H.G. Wells' "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast, which was listened to around the country. Seemlingly off-script at one point, the nation began to believe the story of Martians actually invading the country and destroying everything in sight, leading to mass hysteria. Millions of American's then listened afterwards to hear Welles remind everyone it was a hoaz; just a fictional story.

Companies like Doritos, Pepsi Co., Coca-Cola, Budweiser, etc.etc. all vie for the best commercial in one night.
