    Bartlett left as pioneer.Later Henson and Peary caught up with him at a wide lead the ice crack and he Eskimos,Dogs,and Bartlett were on a wide pieace of ice .Bartlett and his Eskimos and Dogs jump to safty.

    Bartlett had to go back, he was very disapointed bacause he wasn't the only one to go with Peary to the Pole.Peary and Matt repared sleges and rested all day.

    Peary and Henson marched for ten hours.That night Matt saw a marvluse sight the full moon and the sun in the sky opisite of each other.

    When they came to one of the leads it was covered in thin ice when Matt drove across the runners broke threw.
