    Magna Carta (major sigificant event)

    Magna Carta (major sigificant event)
An important document that was written 1215 by the Archbishop of Canterbury to make peace between the king and the rebel barons. It gave civil rights to the common people of England and limited the power of the king. I chose this significant event because the Magna Carta is one of the most important documents in history. It has been the foundation on which our socicety has established laws and democracy and given civil rights to people. www.bbc.co.uk/british_history.com
