    Justinian
    Justinian was born in Tauresium, Macedonia and was the emperor of the Byzantine Empire. His greatest achivement was his completion of the Codex of Justinion, which brought together all the Roman laws and put them into a single text which would hold the force of law (contained the laws of heresy.orthodoxy and paganism). He also started a significant campaign to retake africa from the vandals and italy from the goths.
    Justinian died on November 14th 565 in Constantinople

    Clovis
    Clovis was born on 466 in Tournai, Belgium and was the King of the Franks and is often considered the founder of France. Clovis would become the first King to rule over all the Frankish tribes and become a firm ally of the Byzantine Empire and Christian King, also he extended his authority from north and west to sothward to Pyrnees. He also defeted the Alemani, Burgundians and Visigoths. His death on November 27th 511 in Paris, France also marked the end of the expansion of the Franks.

    The Battle of Tours was a battle fought between Franks lead by Charles Martel and the invading Islamic army lead by Emir Abdul Rahman Al Ghafiqi Abd al Rahman, and the ultimate defeat of the Islamic army and death of Emir. The significance of this battle was the it secured the status of Christanity in Europe and halted the Islamic conquest of Europe. It also assured political dominance of the Franks in Europe at large.

For centuries there was barely a church left because they were either destroyed or looted.These Invasions are significant because during these invasions they found lands that would become some of the best and most orginized states in Europe.

    Charlamagne was born on 742 in Francia. He was the medieval emporer form 768 to 814. Charlamagne was significant because he wanted to unite all of the Germanic people into one Kingdom and also to convert all his subjects to Christianity. He would also become the first Holy Roman Emperor by encouraging arts, culture, education and Religion to his people.
    Charlamagne died on January 28th 814 in Aachen, Germany.

    The East-West Schism was the the break and end of communion between the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches. This began with a crisis between the eastern Byzantine Empire and the Western tradiations when the Chirstian Church reachd a terminal crisis, this crisis lead to the split of the Eastern and Western Chruches. The most significant part was that it lead to the development of the modern Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Chruches.

    Eleanor of Aquitaine was born on 1122, Poitiers, France. Eleanor was one of the most powerful and influential people during the middle ages. She aquired that status beause she inherited a very large and rich piece of land called the Aquitaine at age 15. She then married the King of France then later on the King of England, as well as her being a type of advisor for two of her children who also became Kings of England, this solidified her influence and power. Eleanor died on 1204 in France.

The significane of this war was the discovery and introduction to new and more modern weapons and war tactics, which drastically changed how wars were fought from then on. It boosted the nationalism of both England and France and transformed France into a centrilized state.

    Joan of Arc was a peasent girl who lived in Domremy, France. She strongly believed that she was chosen by god to lead France to victory over the war between England and France. With her leadership she was able to lead and win the battle of Orleans at age 18, which was a huge vicotry. Joan of Arc was also able to inspire many of the french soldiers, which was one of the reasons they won the Battle of Orleans. Centuries after her execution on May 30th 1431 she was named Patron Saint of France.

    The Fall of Constantinople was when the Ottoman Turks took the city of Constantinople. This was significant in many ways. It saw the armies of Islam spread into Europe from Asia for the first time and the religion of Islam was able to gain a foothold in Eastern Europe. Constantinople also becaome a type of base ground for the practice of Islam.The fall of the city also signaled the end of the Byzantine Empire. The Fall of Constaninople ended on May 29th 1453, only lasting 53 days.

He used it to created the worlds first major printed book, the "Forty-Two Line Bible". Because of his invention he helped greatly advance the opportunities and for literacy and learning and made it much easier.
