Moving
I was seven when we moved. We packed up the van and my dad drove it down while we flew down. We took three flights and it took hours to get there. When we got to the air port we had to drive for another hour before we finally got there. -
School
My mom thought that we would learn Spanish quicker if we were immersed so she started sending us to the Mexican school in the morning and in the afternoon we were homeschooled. -
We moved into our house
When we got to the missionary base our hose was not done so we all had to squeeze into one room. In my family there are five of us my mom and dad then me and my two sisters. We stayed in the small room for about two months, Until our hose was done and we could move in. -
I Get Baptized
Where we were not many places to get baptized so I got baptized in a bathtub. I don’t think it matters where you get baptized but what it means to you. To me it means I took the next step of surrendering myself to God and showing the people around me I am serious about him. -
teachers went on strike
The teachers went on strike, and started riots. Some places got dangerous, and some people started busses on fire. I was nine years old and I got really scared. When the strike started me and my sisters stopped going to the public school because it closed, but we still homeschooled. After the strike was over we did not go back. -
short tearm missions
I and my older sister stayed at the base for the short term missions the last year we were there. It was weird because the base was right beside our house. Also since we had been living beside the base e had seen bits and pieces of the short term mission groups that came, which made being in one strange. -
scorpion
I was running through some grass and a scorpion landed on my foot and stung me. Where we were the scorpions were not deadly but it was painful. -
we moved back
We when down to Mexico knowing we were only going to stay there for five years and our time was up. I was sad we had to move again.
