Fire destroys grazing pastures of large community of spread out family groups. Many animals and people are killed. -
Travel
The people travel to find new land for their livestock. This requires them to be in closer proximity to each other resulting in more disputes. -
New Land
The travelers find a beautiful expanse of land. Tired of their nomadic journey, they choose to settle here. -
The Hermit
However, a hermit already inhabited this area and tells them they must leave unless they can win against him in a horse race. Realizing that in their new community they need more leadership to avoid the conflicts they have been experiencing during travel, they decide to make the winner of the race their monarch. -
The Race
17 people enter the race (16 men and 1 woman). The woman, Sophia, wins and becomes the first queen of Newland. -
Queen Sophia
Sophia, is crowned Queen of Newland in a ceremony that lasts for 3 days -
Absolute Monarchy
Queen Sophia appoints 3 advisers and begins her rule as an absolute monarch.
