Trey Radocha's Football Journey

  • Period: to

    First Football Season

I was in the 3rd grade. Played for the Skyline Spartans in Seattle, WA. I was small, undersized, one of the worst players on my team, and hated it. We only won one game this season.
  • Period: to

    My Second and Third Seasons

Although I wanted to quit, my parents convinced me to give it one more chance. I was bigger, stronger, faster, and quickly became one of the best players on the team. I lost my fear of tackle football and fell in love with it.
  • Period: to

Moved to Texas Before Season 4

We moved to Texas only a few weeks before the football season began. I was late to join and was put on the bad PeeWee team. However, I had a great season but my team fell short in the championship.
  • Period: to

    Middle School Football

I played for the Canyon Ridge Middle School football team. I was fortunate to make the A team in both 7th and 8th grade. I continued to get better, and was a big contributor to two middle school championships!
  • Period: to

    My High School Freshman Season

My first season of high school football, I was on the freshman A team, but had a down year. I made the decision that I wanted to play wide receiver on offense, however, I really only played defense. Before the final game of the year, I broke my ankle and my lost the championship.
  • Period: to

    My HS Sophomore Season

This year was a little all over the place. Originally, I was placed on the JV team. I was upset, as some other sophomores, including my brother, were put on varsity. However, after two games, I was moved up to varsity. I was playing cornerback on defense, a position I had never played. I played in four out of 10 games on varsity, not terrible for how young I was.
  • Period: to

My HS Junior and Senior Seasons

I was finally playing wide receiver only. I earned the starting spot in both years and had a great last two years. I broke some records and was part of two undefeated district championships. However, my team never made it to the state championship.
  • Drake University Football Offer!

I received an offer to play division 1 football at Drake University. A dream come true!
  • Committed to Drake University

After a great visit at Drake, I committed to play at the school!
  • Period: to

My Freshman and Sophomore Seasons at Drake

College football was a big wake-up. Everyone was bigger, faster, stronger, and I was not as prepared as I thought. As a freshman, I did play. As a sophomore, I briefly appeared in 4 games.
  • Period: to

    My Junior Season at Drake

I earned the starting spot. I led the team in a couple of receiving categories, but we only won 3 games.
  • Period: to

    My Senior Season at Drake

I was a starter again and led in most receiving categories. We made history, winning all 8 of our conference games and making the FCS playoffs. We got beat by a highly touted North Dakota State team.
  • Coming Back For a 5th Season!

With the ability to redshirt, I decided to come back and play one more season for Drake. Let's win another championship!
