Later, Puffing Billy, built by fellow English inventors Chris Blackett and William Hedley for the Wylam Colliery Rail Way. This machine built for the turn of the century in 1900, is still operating to this day. -

The Battle of the Plains of Abraham was a absolutely pivotal moment in the Seven Years War, and further, the history of Canada. The British executed the perfect sneak attack in the dead of night to defeat the French, who would lose control of New France, present day Canada. -

The first representative government is created. Opposed to the old colonial system, a new democratic one is put into effect. These changes are due to the American Revolution. -

America successfully concludes their revolution with victory over British and declares independance. -

James Cook begins trading with Nu-Cha-Nuth. The come to Vancouver Island. Him and his crew had by this time figured out vitamin C was the cure to scurvy. With this Knowledge they were able to begin action on Vancouver Island. -

The American Constitution established national government. With it came nation wide fundamental laws and guaranteed rights ( for some, but not all). But none the less, this was a great stride for new organized government systems and would greatly affect Canada's systems today. -

The British, in need of reorganization make a decision about their land. They made the upper part of Quebec lower Canada, and the lower part of Quebec upper Canada. -

This military conflict was fought between the U.S. and the British. The British claimed victory with the help of Iroquois warriors. This war is largely regarded as Canadian fight even though Canada was not yet a country. -
Women in Government
In this year, the first women property owners were allowed to join their local representative government. A huge step in the right direction for women's rights around the globe. -
Canadian Independance
On this day, the British North America Act is signed off. This creates independence for the once British colony, the province of Canada. With the permission of the Queen, the Dominion of Canada is formed.
