I was born in Grand Rapids, at what is now Spectrum Health Hospital. -
Kindergarten
Around 2003 I started kindergarten in Caledonia -
Moved to Bailey's Grove in East Kentwood
In 2005 after kindergarten we moved to Bailey's Grove in East Kentwood and I started 1st grade at Endeavor Elementary. -
Moved to Rockford
I moved to Rockford around 2007 and started 3rd grade at Lakes Elementary. This was a challenge for me because I just moved and I was already moving again, and had to leave some close friends. I would stay here from then till now. -
7th & 8th Grade
I did Track & Field when I was in 7th and 8th grade. I just did it to socialize more and get involved. This is the time I met a very important person in my life who really made an impact on me and opened me up to be a more outgoing and sociable person. This important person is Olivia and we have known each other for about 6 years now and is currently my girlfriend. -
Freshman Year
Freshman year had a huge impact on my life, because I chose to do Crew and the team became like a second family to me. I did crew for every season, I did it in the fall, winter, and spring. -
My First Car
I got my first car sophomore year. The car was a 1997 Subaru Outback Sport and it was a blast! It was basically just a beater car that got me from point a to point b, that I managed to have some fun with. I used to drift it in the snow and just beat it up a little. -
Spring Crew (Varsity)
My spring season of sophomore year I was good enough of a rower to make the varsity boat. This was a huge success for me because I trained so hard before that season to become faster and have better technique. I would say that being on the varsity team was a leadership opportunity for me because I was able to teach novice about the sport and motivate to always continue to push themselves harder. -
Moved to WMAA
I moved to WMAA my junior year. This was a challenge for me because I had to leave all of my friends and teammates in the middle of my high school life. -
First Solo
Flying solo for the first time was a huge accomplishment for me.
