2004 Tsunami
An undersea earthquake caused a huge tsunami to hit coasts on the Indian Ocean. Indonesia was the hardest hit followed Sri Lanka, India, and Thailand. There were 210,210 casualties making it the fifth most deadliest earthquake in recorded history. Overall, the worldwide community donated 14 billion dollars. -
Pet Hamster Died
On this day my pet hamster, Hammy, passed away in its sleep. I was very upset for a few days. But, because of this experience I finally know what it is like to have something very close to you, like a pet, die. -
Virginia Tech Shooting
The Virginia Tech shooting was a school shooting in Blacksburg, Virginia. The event was caused by one man named Seung-Hui Cho. Cho killed 32 people and wounded 25 others. This was the deadliest shooting incident by one man in U.S. History. The outcome resulted in people coming together for huge memorial services held for those killed. -
Moved to Port Hope
On this day I moved to Port Hope because my dad got a new job.My family got a new house and I started going to Trinity College School, which probably is a better education. This will have a lasting impact on my life because I will have new friends and will go to new places that I would've never known if I hadn't moved. -
Came to Trinity College School
This is the day I first came to Trinity College School (TCS) in Port Hope,Ontario. I came to this school because my dad got a job at TCS. On my first day I met Ms. McClure, my grade 5 homeform teacher, and 12 other of my class mates. Now in grade 7 I have many friends and I have had an ecellent education at TCS. -
First Played Trombone
In Fall 2010 I decided to play the trombone for my school music class. Since then I have really improved and it is my favourite instrument. Now I have joined the Tottenham band and I hope to play for many years to come. -

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 is the last film in the Harry Potter series. This movie grossed over 1 billion dollars at the box office. And it is part of the biggest movie franchise ever. It is the sad end to a well loved book and movie series. -
Horn of Africa Famine
The drought and famine in East Africa is the worst drought in that area for over 60 years. Increased population and a drought has wiped-out over 90% of livestock and crops, which has helped make this so bad. Food prices have sky rocketed making any food hard to buy. Thousands of people have died and 13.3 million people are still at risk.
