He was born in July 9th, 1856 in Smiljan, Croatia. His mom's name was Djuka Mandic and she was an inventor that made small household appliences. His father's name was Milutin Tesla and he was a priest and writer. His father wanted him to be a priest, but Nikola wanted to be an inventor. -
