First Microsoft Office
The very first Microsoft office was opened here in Albuquerque. It's very cool that Bill Gates and Paul Allen's career pretty much began right here in our state. It's mainly cool because these guys are billionaires and that Microsoft is a Multinational Company.

NM State Penitentiary Riot
One of the Nation's worst prison riots took place on Feb. 2-3 at the New Mexico State Penitentiary. 33 Inmates died during the riot and more than 200 needed to be treated for injuries. 12 officers were taken hostage, although none of them were killed. It was terrible, there were fires, shootings, and stabbings, etc.

Seismosaurus Is Found In NM
Sometime in the year 1980, a fossilized dinosaur bone was found. The name of the dinosaur was the Seismosaurus, one of the largest dinosaurs discovered. It is now placed in the Museum. I think that it is very cool that one of the biggest dinosaurs ever, was found here!!

I-40 in NM
In 1981, Interstate 40 was finally completely built. It took many years to build the 373 mile long Interstate. It was very benificial for the country because it makes traveling through the South a lot easier for everyone.

Intel does stuff!!!!
Intel releases its first comercial processor. This affects new mexico because Intel eill eventually open a plant in RIo Rnacho. -
NCAA Championship
The 1983 NCAA Basketball Championship was held at the University of New Mexico's Basketball Arena. It is called the Pit because the court goes into the ground instead of having a tall building. The game was against North Carolina State & Houston

Mary Coon Walter
Mary Coon Walters became the first woman of the New Mexico Supreme Court Justice. This prooves that New Mexico has always treated both male and females the same way.

New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science
The Museum of Natural History and Science was founded in 1986 and one of New Mexico's most well known Museums. It features many historic artifacts and dinosaur fossils. It also features many scientific exhibits. There are also many famous shows that are presented in the theater there.

Lechugilla Cave
Lechugilla Cave is dicovered. It's located only a few miles from the Carlsbad Caverns. It is the deepest cave in the U.S. and fifth largest in the world. -
F.A.R.M.
Farm and Ranch Museum opens and is one of New Mexico's best tourist sites. Many people go here to see animals and help out there. Great place to go3 -
The Day I was Born
On June 10, 1998, I was born in, I think, the St. Joseph Hospital or something like that. It was a VERY extraordinary day. Also, my brother was born on the day.
