The Sepoy Mutiny
Sepoys, the indian soldiers rebelled because they had to bite off end of catridge to use a catridge that was greased with pork and beef fat but Hindu and Muslim think cow as a sacred animal (Hindu and Muslim don't eat cows). -

In Bombay, Gandhi opened a campaign that burns the foreign clothes in the bonfire and asked everybody to participate in to showing that they're opposing British government. -

Gandhi organized a demonstration to defy the hated Salt Acts because Indians only can buy the salt from British government. -

Gandhi went over to England to meet Lord Irwin who was the Viceroy of India and had an agreement for India's future in the round table conference. -
India Act
The British parliament passed the government of India Act which provided local self government and limited democratic elections. Not yet a total independence. -
Kasturbai death
Gandhi's wife Kasturbai died at age of 74. She was one of the great suppoter of Gandhi. -

The Bristish House of Comons granted India a self rule but eventually India was divided into two nations, India and Pakistan because of Hindu and Muslim. -

Gandhi was shot by a Hindu extremist because he was being too protective on Muslims. He was dead.
