    The Age of Exploration was a time period where they wanted to expand their maps and find new trading routes. They traded goods from asia including, silk and spies. This trading benefited the Venetians because they controlled the trade routes in that region.

    Asante, a city in present day Ghana. Under their leader, Osei Tutu had government officials who created a logical bureaucracy. They traded with European countries trading gold and slaves for firearms to create a stable and wealthy state.

    Richard Arkwright’s invention of the spinning machine led to Industrial revolution. It turned England into a powerhouse because these factories were producing mass amounts of fabric which everyone needed/wanted, making their wealth grow.

    Charles Darwin published a book called, On the Origins of Species, in 1859. This book explains that all living organisms to become how they are now had to go through the process of evolution over millions of years.

    Everything living needs to find a way to survive. The organisms with the best attributes allowing them to survive, those genes get passed onto offspring. People would relate the idea of “survival of the fittest” to war and economics, called Social Darwinism. War brought progress to nations by picking out the weak nations.
