Paul Feyerabend (Jan 13,1924- Feb 11, 1994)

  • Against Method: Outline of an Anarchistic Theory of Knowledge

This book that Feyerabend publish in 1975 explains his thoughts on how science is an anarchic enterprise, not a nomic one. In this book, he explains his epistemological theory that scientific advancements are bound to no rules. If you can prove it, then it goes. And as it should be because if we went offset rules then nothing new would come about. Where is the falsifiability in a world run by rules?
  • His Ideas Influenced many other great philosophers.

His unique thoughts on science and how it should be taught and view gave many great minds their ideas. Kuhns is one of many that were inspired by him. Kuhn has shown us that nothing is ever truly correct. Eventually, someone else will come along with a better idea and so on and so on.
  • Science in a Free Society 1978

Another book published where he continues his argument that science should exist with no boundaries. Anyone can have a great idea now and then. If Elon Musk was told his idea of a Space Company that took people to space at cheaper cost was not correct or didn't line up with other rules. Then we'd be sitting here just hashing out the same idea over and over.
  • Most known for by the world

He was known for his anarchistic view on how there can't be universal methodological rules. I truly love this because he was saying why should our universe be bound by rules. Anarchy is the beauty of science because it leaves us with endless possibilities to find. With his ideas and theories, he had Asteroid (22356) named Feyerabend in his honor.
