  • Healthy Prenatal Experience

    Healthy Prenatal Experience
My mother kept healthy habits during her pregnancy with me. She did not drink, smoke, or intake excessive unhealthy foods. These conscience choices were made to avoid risking any complications. This lead to my healthy status at birth and no health problems in my life.
  • Midwife

During my mother's pregnancy she had the help pf a midwife. This was a luxury that helped my mom stay informed of usual stages of pregnency. Her midwife was a helpful resource for any questions or concerns that my mother had. This was helpful as an informed mother is usually a sign of concern for their child and later on a good sign for creating trust.
  • Birth Day

    Birth Day
My due date was supposed to be on July 22nd but during a doctors visit doctors decided it would be best to induce the birth earlier. since I was sitting higher in my mothers stomach, doctors thought my mothers hips were too small to give birth and that if I grew any bigger I would not be able to pass through. So on July 16th they tried to enduce my mom to give birth. the first injection had no affect so the next day the doctors increased the dosage and I was born.
  • Refusing the Bottle

Breast feeding was my only option that I accepted. I refused to drink from a bottle. This created dificulties durning my early years when I did not eat whole foods. Considering I needed breast milk and I refused a bottle, my mom was the only option. This made it so that she could not be away from me for long periods of time. later leading to my attachment issues.
  • Baby Sister Kylie

    Baby Sister Kylie
My baby sister Kylie was born. This changed part of my attachment with my mom in a positive way. My mom had to share her attention with my new sister as well. I adjusted well to this and automatically became attached to my sister and wanted to be helpful to my mom with Kylie. During this time I learned to be independant and initiative.
  • Moving from Grand Junction to Durango

Moving from Grand Junction to Durango
Moving to Durango had little impact on me during the transition however my family had to adjust with a new house, new town and for my dad a new job. This did impact me in the long run though because my development could have been very different had I grown up in Grnad Junction. Durango is home for me in a very special way.
  • Learned to Ski

    Learned to Ski
My parents were both ski patrol and avid skiers growing up. Therefor they taught me to ski as early as they could. I have always enjoyed skiing and this was a benchmark in my life because skiing is my greatest passion.
  • Started and Re-started Kindergarten

I had a hard time detaching from my mom in preschool, so I did not go very often. This set me back with my fundamentals of learning. I was in the midst of the preoperational stage and was slightly slower to comprehend. Because of my delay of learning I was bullied by a fellow classmate in kindergarten. The social setback and learning ability added up to be the reasons why I was held back in Kindergarten and had to repeat that year of schooling.
  • Baby Sister Shea is Born

    Baby Sister Shea is Born
My youngest sister was born. Kylie and I both were very close and had a good relationship. So we were both excited to have another sister in our lives. Both of us adjusted to a new sister also Kylie and I shared a room togehter so that Shea could have a nursery. This created a closer bond for us.
  • Met My Best Friend Hayley

    Met My Best Friend Hayley
During my second year of kindergarten I had new classmates and I met my best friend Hayley. Her and I played together everyday at school. She has been my closest friend my whole life even till today.
  • Private to Public School

    Private to Public School
After attending private Catholic school with more or less the same 15 classmates for 10 years I had to change to public high school. This was an exciting event in my life. I disagreed with the Catholic school methods and was excitied to be in public. I met many new friends and felt less restricted to rules.
  • Began Working

I began working the summer of high school as a kids camp leader at Purgatory so that I could have a season pass to ski. This began the first of my many jobs that I worked in High School. I always juggled school and work which added to my development of deligent work ethic. Throughout high school I worked 5 different jobs and at one point I worked three of them at the same time.
  • Quit Soccer

    Quit Soccer
I had played soccer since I was 4 years old till high school for a competitive traveling team. Due to torn ligaments in my ankle from an injury over the summer I was unable to continue to play. I was not dedicated enough to work through the recovery. By quitting soccer and not working to recover I became less dedicated and competitive as a person, which used to be a huge part of my personality.
  • Drivers License and a New Car

Drivers License and a New Car
I was desperate to get my license as soon as possible since I lived twenty minutes out of town. I got the license right away and saved up enough money to buy a jeep sport. This lead to more responsibilty and time to do what I wanted from my parents. I wanted to keep my parents trust so I could go where I wanted to so I remained very mature and obediant. This was part of the Industry vs Inferiority stage as acts of approval.
  • Inspired to be a Teacher

I had to take a senior english class in high school. The teacher was very inspiring to all of us wich was impressive to inspire soon to graduate seniors to be excited about learning. His lessons and energy as a teacher inspired me to want to study education in college. This is was a milestone in the identity vs rle confusion stage when I began to associate my role to occupy.
  • Graduation

    Graduation
I graduated High School. This is a big milestone for most people as it is the last step of the general path most take in life and the start of being able to do what you want with your life. Whether that is college, working or traveling, etc. After my senior english calss I decided I would attend Fort Lewis College and pursue Art Education as my major.
