Thomas Kuhn was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in July 1922 he went to Harvard were he completed his masters in physics. When he went for his PhD he changed from physics to philosophy of science. He then became a professor at Harvard until 1956. Then he moved on to Berkeley, Princeton, and MIT.

Thomas Kuhn
Thomas Kuhn was named a Guggenheim fellow in 1954 then was awarded the George Sarton Medal in 1982. This is the most prestigious award that can be given by the History of Science Society.
