The 50s were all about stereotypes and what better way then to have a photo of what your suppose to be? Woman were represented as the stay at home moms and the men were the hard workers. Great way to be someone when having a visual image around all the time right? -

Music was also pushed through photos by sponsoring. This sent famous singers like Elvis off the charts. Being able to snag a picture or a video really was good for anyone's business.
