Election of 1860
The election of 1860 was when the democrats held their convention in Charleston, South Carolina. To call in all new territories but democrats refused to do so. Bell wanted to keep the union together. The election ended with Abraham Lincoln winning it all. This made many citizens mad because Lincoln had less than 40% of the popular vote. -
