  • Hamliton vs Jefferson

    Hamliton vs Jefferson
    The first event of Washington's career is the feud between Hamilton and Jefferson. They both had different views on how the constitution should be interpreted and enforced. Soon enough they formed the first two political party's, the Federalist and the Jeffersonians Republicans. This is an important event because this is the first two political parties but already shows people are divide on how the country should be ran
  • Neutrality Proclamation

    A war had broken out between Britain and France and the USA was not ready for war. They feared the British navy but wanted to keep the alliance alive with France. So Wasghtin decided to stay neutral which would be a policy for the USA for hundred years after. This proclamation that America still used it for 300 years after and also try to stay neutral, or mostly neutral
  • Whiskey Rebellion

    People in western Pennsylvania and other regions people were outrage about the tax on Whiskey since whiskey was such an important part of farmers' life both drinking and selling. A rebellion occurs and Washington called the troops which soon dispersed the revolt. The first revolt after the new government formed and it gets quelled easy but american people still have problems with the taxes. But it also showed that this government shouldn't be messed around with and their able to uphold laws.
  • Jays Treaty

    A treaty between America and Britain that requested Britain should remove troops in forts and to better trade between the two. But the British denied the request to stop searching for American ships. It was ratified in 1795. No more British force in American and just a better chance for America to get rich from trade.
  • Washington Retirement

    Washington retires after only 2 terms and in his farewell speech he speaks on his fears and distrust of political parties. This was important because every president after expect for one only ran for 2 terms.
  • John Adams and Trouble With France

    Af a new president was needed so the vice president took over till the next election but till then John Adams was elected as the 2nd president of the USA. And the first event was still the war between Britain and France. France and the USA were still outraged about having their ships search so envoys were sent to settle the affair but the XYZ affair happened which left America out of rage. And an undeclared war between the two commenced. This would soon end the peace bewteen the 2 nations
  • The Alien and Sedition Acts

    The Alien and Sedition Acts
    New laws were implemented like foreigners had to wait 14 years instead of 5 to become a citizen. But also formed a new law on which it was illegal to be scandalous and malicious against the government without proof. Important to note that you coudt just insult the government, its still always free speech just inform speech which is always good.
  • Garbriel Prosser Rebellion

    With all the talk of liberty and freedom, the slaves would have some of the rights given to a normal American citizen. Although it failed before it even started its important to know slavery is still occurring at this time and people are fed up with it mostly slaves but the civil war will occur in 60 years
  • Jefferson New President and the Judiciary acts

    Jefferson New President and the Judiciary acts
    An election happened in the year 1800 to decide the 3rd US president. In the end, Jefferson won and his first major act was the Judiciary Act, which increases the number of federal judges and decreases the number of Supreme Court justices. This gave more power to Federal courts and made less people on the supreme court which allowed a hand pick judge from the president to have more meaning
  • The Louisiana Purchases

    The french after failing to quell the Hati rebellion, the USA offers the french 15 million dollars for all the Louisiana land. Although Jefferson worried about buying foreign lands would be wrong against the constitution, congress soon urge him to accept which he did. America gains so much land, for practically nothing
  • Lewis and Clark

    An expedition into the west and the goal was to search for waterways that lead to the west coast. they took notes on natural resources and talk with many natives. Expolering the new lands for resources and where the natives are is a good strategy for America
  • Hamilton and Burr

    A duel between the two occurred when Hamilton spoke wrongly of Burr to the papers and sadly Hamilton lost the duel and his life. This loss of life happens all because Burr wanted to be governer of New York. The leader of the Federalist is dead and burr is soon found guilty and killed as well. So two leading men of society are dead
  • Embargo of 1807

    The harassing of European ships against American trading vessels became too much and soo Jefferson along with congress order a trade embargo which banned all trade to foreigners. America starts its isolationism and asserts its power that it doesn't need European nations to thrive.
