Project 1- Life of Adventure

  • The Big Move

    The Big Move
I moved from Vermont to Arizona just before starting 7th grade. This was a significant event because I left all the friends I had known as a child and all my relatives, except my mother and older brother. Arizona was very different from Vermont, and I had a difficult time adjusting.
  • Skydiving

    Skydiving
In college, some friends and I decided to either go bungee jumping or skydiving. I voted for bungee jumping, since I don't like flying. I lost.
  • Korea

    Korea
My friend and I went to Korea with the intention of teaching English for a year. Korea was unlike anything I had ever experienced and I learned a great deal about the culture, about how Americans are perceived abroad, and about myself. Things did not work out as planned, but we did get to travel to the Philippines and Thailand, which was an amazing experience.
  • Hiking the Inca Trail

    Hiking the Inca Trail
Before having kids, I was an avid hiker. I had the opportunity to travel to Peru with a group of friends. We spent four days hiking the Inca Trail. The hike was beautiful and the experience was amazing.
  • Wedding Day!

    Wedding Day!
My husband and I got married in Puerto Penasco, Mexico.
  • Birth of my son

    Birth of my son
The birth of my son was by far the most life-changing event I have experienced.
  • Birth of my daughter

    Birth of my daughter
This was one of the happiest, yet, by far, the hardest day of my life. My daughter suffered a medical emergency shortly after being born, and remained in intensive care for over two weeks.
