Wix
I used Wix to set up my blog which I would use to record everything that I did throughout the entire project. Wix, I found, was an easy site to use and it was free and easy to access from anywhere. It was also a good way for presenting my coursework as it is easy to navigate and it is asthetically pleasing. I encountered a few problems as sometimes it was hard to loog in or wokr was lost but this was most likely human error and due to the internet rather than the site itself. -
google
I used google to do all of my magazine research. Google allowed me to save images and upload them to my site and to look at magazines and distributors which I was then able to write about on my blog. The research was a huge part of my porject so it was vital that I had access to it at the start of the project -
I phone
I used my Iphone to take photos for both photoshoots. My iphone camera is a good quality and it was protable, meanting it was easy to carry everywhere with me. I also liked to idea of using new technology to take the photos. I think the over all quality was good and I had no problems using it. It was also easy to then upload and edit the photo's form home or college without needing a specific camera or memory card. -
Illustrator
I used illustrator to create my Masthead. I have used the site before so it was easy to use and a quick way to create my masthead. I also used photoshop to fill in the logo with colour so the combining of the two helped me to create the perfect masthead. The only problems enountered was deciding which font to use. -
Photoshop
I usedd photoshop to edit all of my photos that would be featured on my magaizne. I also used photo shop to create each page. I had some knowledge of photoshop prior to starting my coursework so I found it easy to use however I did descover how to edit photos better. Over all Photoshop worked really well and helped make my magaizne look professional and mature. -
Word
I used word to type up my article. THis was beneficial as I could do spell check and grammar and I could type it up anywhere. Once I'd fifnished it i just copied it over into Photoshop. -
powerpoint
I used powerpoint on two occasions. The first was when I needed to save screen shots as pictures to upload to my blog to show the construction of my magazine. This was a good way of showing the processes i went through to show development on my blog. The second time was to do quetsion 5 of my evaluation. This was an easy way to type up and show how my magaizne attracts my audience in a visual way. -
youtube
I used youtube to uplade videas of audince porfiles taken later on during my project. THis then allowed me to upload videos to my blog. I also used it later on when I was uploading my powtoon and other videos. THe only problem I encounterd was that it was sometimes hard to upload the videos as it took a lot of time. -
Prezi
I used Prezi to presenct part of my evaluation. This was an easy way to give a visual, fancy way of typing up my questions. I found it a reall easy site to use and I never lost any work as it automoaltically saved. THe only problem I found was actually being able to upload it to my blog. In the end I decided to research how to and once I knew it was a very easy process. -
Popplet
I used popplet to present one of my evaluation questions. It essensially allowed me to creat a large spider diagram whcih I could then present my answer creatively and it didnt look to overwhelming. The site was easy to use and navigate around and the final product is also easy to understnad and read. -
Powtoon
I used powtoon alos for my evaluation. I found this very easy and effective. This was probably my favourite site to use for doing my evaluation as it was very easy and the final product was really fun and effective. It took a while to upload to youtube however it was very easy to upload to my blog. The site was very user friendly and allowed me to create a powtoon which addressed my question and looked really good at the end. -
Time Toast
I used time toast to create this timeline to show what media technologies I used. After some issueslogging in, I was able to navigate and use the site in an effective an deasy way. I found the site really useful as it was a good way to show what processes used and when. It is also easy to keep adding to before actually publishing it on to my blog.
