Step 1 : Pre-Candiacy Process
This involves forming political committees to show a candidate's running to test the candidate's peformane, and to raise money for campaigns. -
Step:2 Declare Candiacy and File Applications
The Federal Election Commission is created by Congress to finance the elections , and process the registration of candiacy for the President . -
Step 3 : Fundraising and Campaigning
U.S. presidential campaign takes nine months or starts earlier ,
During this process legmitacy is important .They begin planning their campaigns . In the campaign trail six to twelve months in advance of the first primaries and caucuses -
Step 4 : Party Primaries, Caucuses, and Delegates
Thi step is held in each and every state , and also apart of the nominating process . Primaries and Cacuses is held in between January and June . Instead of voters picking a particular Presidents ,Its determined how many delegates each party national convetion recieve from there state. -
Step 5 : Party Conventions
This is apart of the process for every four years to determine the major parties Presidential candidates and show their candidates and unveil their parties platform. -
Step 6 : General Election Campaign: The Final Candidates
This process is when voter register oters, make phone calls, send out mail, help friendly voters apply for absentee ballots, put up signs, do canvassing, and get out the vote in November -
The Final Step : ELECTION DAY !
The president of the US is elected by electoral colleges not directly by the population. Each state is assigned electoral votes based on the number of senators and representatives that state . Whoever has the most votes is officially the President of the U.S
